Fortidens Hemmelighet

Fortidens Hemmelighet is a novel by Julie Sivertsen. The story takes place in a village on the coast of Norway, set during the viking times. I won't spoil anything, but the cover shows the three main characters, as well as some of the situations in the book.

First I explored a few scenes from the book, but we ended up with making a dark movie poster inspired illustration, and it was later decided that the illustration should also be lighter. I have included some sketches and works in progress here, just to show how much it changed.
